is it worth it personally dropping your cv to a recruitment company or just email it in?

Better to e-mail cv and follow up with a call. They have databses that they upload cv's to and if it comes in hard copy - way lesslikely you will be added to the database

You should call in and get an email address to send the email to. Some will ask you to register online.

Even better, find out some of the positions they are advertising online and apply for it.

If you call in it will likely be a wasted journey.

Set up and arrange a meeting with them. That way you guarantee an appointment to discuss your CV with you and any potential jobs. Recruiters aren't for everyone depends what jobs you are looking for. Good luck with the job hunt. Maybe go to a professional job coach if you can do that as well. Best to get the best advice possible in the jobs market during the downturn as the job market is constantly changing hard to keep up with it!

They can't use your hard copy so you need to e-mail it to them.
