poision bikes....any good?

    hey fols. my lbs currently has a "poision" road bike for sale.
    shimano tiagra groupset, carbon front forks.

    for sale at what appears to be a reasonable price

    any know anything about this brand of bike?

    What price?

    They are a germany company and seem to get decent reviews.

    They don't sell a Tiagra speced model on their website so I think they may have swapped out a higher specced groupset for the tiagra, which is pretty ****ty.

    Their current entry level dropped bar is an Apex groupset (which would be a lot better than Tiagra) and costs €949 from the website.

    If they're €949 new with apex groupset then that's expensive for second hand with a lesser group set fitted.

    You could get a much better bike for that price second handy.
    I'd be almost certain whoever is selling it took the swapped whatever groupset was on it for the tiagra, could even have been the lbs.

    For €600 that PC is savage value, depending on if it's your size or not.

    Could probably haggle him down to €550 too.

    Infinitely better spec and would be perfect for Irish roads. Would also be great if you decided you wanted to do a bit of touring as it has the mounts needed.
