Student looking for a college laptop

    Budget: 500-700

    Intended use: college work, internet, e-mail, Word processing, games(just football manager :)) movies

    Warranty: Not too worried

    Operating System: Windows

    Other info: I need a new laptop for my 1st year in college. It will need to be able to do all the necessary college work related stuff (e.g word assignments).

    But this will also be my laptop for (a lot of) personal use...I spend a lot of time on the laptop so I am willing to pay well for a good one. Mainly I surf the net (e.g boards, sky sports, facebook and youtube etc.) but I also watch a LOT of movies/tv online. I also download a nice bit of stuff (legally, of course;)) I am really looking for something that can do all this but do it well and will last me a long time. Any ideas?
