Apartments/hotels in Salou

    Can anyone recommend apartments/hotel in Salou that would be good for a family with small children. Ideally we'd like apartments with entertainment and that is not too far from the beach/shops & restaurants

    Golden avienda gets great ratings and is especially family orientated. It can afaik only be booked through thompsons website. If funds can stretch the theme park hotels are fab. Dorada palace and vil.la. romana are also good as is las vegas hotel.

    Villa marina is all inclusive and cheap but its in the old part of Salou and it is cheap and cheerful loved by many brits but you couldn't pay me to stay there.

    Check out reviews on tripadvisor but don't get too confused by positive V negative posts. Firstly look at all the traveller pictures and decide on them if this hotel should make your short list, then read reviews, discount people moaning/praising things that will not effect you. If someone is too effusive check out how many posts they have if its only one chances are they are staff of the hotel or paid to review. Then when you have a short list go to the forum and do a search to see what people in the forum have said about your chosen accomodation, if still in doubt post a thread with an enquiry!
