04 A4 Air Con Vent blocked

    Lads, when i turn on my air con, all vents work fine except the two in the centre now wont work...any ideas...are they pulley based? Any easy way of gettin at them..pull out radio? Any ideas appreciated as buddy said could be expensive if its a dash off job...

    Just had my radio out today and seen a pulley mechanism for it. You might have to remove glovebox for proper access.

    Are you sure these two vents are supposed to blow a/c air? It's rare nowadays but once-upon-a-time some systems had vents with a direct fresh air supply. Have you checked the driver's handbook?

    its climate control and it did blow cold air upto last week...the red fan speed indicator still works except seems to close the vent when i select the central vents...v.confused

    update..brought it to hungarian automechanic today in bandon, he took apart the motor behind radio, fixed central locking-keys would not lock it and also fixed liter unit in car....2 hours work ...80e..if any if ye hav electrical auto problems he is good if ye close to bandon co cork
