A question for Nissan Doctor

    Hi,

The airbag light on the wife's 05 Almera keeps flashing.
I reset it and it's fine for a week or three.

I've looked under the seats, expecting to find a loose connector block, but can't see any obvious wiring anywhere under there.

Just wondering if you could help out?

    Many thanks.

While you're waiting for Nissan Doctor you could have a look at the block connector for the passenger airbag. When you open the glovebox there's a little flap that you pull down from above. As far as I know that's the only thing that really gives any bother in the almera.

Just disconnect it and spray a bit of contact cleaner or wd40 on it and plug it back in. You should really disconnect the battery first.

"The airbag light on the wife's 05 Almera keeps flashing."

If the light comes on theres a fault recorded. Get it diagnosed properly and repaired by someone who knows what they are doing

Airbag systems are dangerous and should not be messed with unless you know what you are doing. In the unfortunate event of an accident you need to be sure they will work properly.

Without knowing what area of the airbag system is throwing the fault it would be hard to know where to start. It may well be a connector as mentioned above but you'd need to have the fault code read and go from there.
