    Hello,

My TomTom died a while back. We have to go to Dublin tomorrow and I was wondering whether there is a good SatNav app for Android phones available? Free if possible :D

    Many thanks.

    Have you tried Google Navigation?

In the end I used the Navigate function on Google Maps which was on my phone before I started this thread :o

It worked quite well, there was meant to be an audio function but I couldn't get it to work. Perhaps it had to be plugged into the power in the car which it wasn't.

I found that the battery got eaten up fairly fast. We turned it on before we got to Dublin, then used it to get from the Zoo to Ikea ( ) and then out of Dublin again.

Aside from the power issue which I could have solved by bringing the car charger it worked well and I was pleased with the directions. Got us there and back so can't complain :)

Yeah it destroys the battery especially as I have bluetooth on connected up to the radio. I've found it better than any sat nav I've used though.
