just wondering will dental implants to fill molars removed for braces mean that you wont need retainers assuming their is space remaining for implants?

i.e 2 implants in molar spaces are fixed so will they hold all the other teeth in place?

No, I'm afraid you'll still need retainers!

If the molars are being removed to provide space for braces to align your teeth (is that what you mean?), then normally there shouldn't be any space remaining after the brace treatment is finished. So why are you getting implants?

Either way, you'll need retainers indefinitely to prevent movement of your front teeth.

    Thanks for replying

One Molar has already been extracted years ago the braces are an option to close gap to front teeth caused by hurling accident both front teeth were cracked the bonding failed recently and gap is now getting wider. The braces would be to close this gap and save the teeth.

Ah, that makes sense - so the implant would be to replace a molar that was previously extracted for other reasons.

Like I said, the implant will have no bearing on the tendency for your teeth to move after the braces come off, so you'll need a retainer. In fact, spacing is one of the most likely things to re-establish itself after orthodontic treatment, so permanent retention is usually needed in these cases.
