I didnt do Irish for the Leaving Cert (born outside Ireland and went to a private school) Do you think I would be elegible for the Beginners Irish elective?

Pretty sure you would be, I can't imagine who else they'd be aiming it at. That's assuming you don't already have LC standard Irish despite not taking it at that level.
