Monsoon Pump Propellor getting stuck

I wonder can anyone help me identify the problem with my Monsoon / Stuart Turner 3 bar twin pump. The internal propellor seems to be getting stuck. I can (sometimes, not always) get it to start going again by inserting a screwdriver and giving it a gentle nudge, and then turning the shower on. Bit of a nusience since the pump is not located near the shower. I've searched the other threads and people talk about the pump humming. It does that too but no one seems to mention the internal propellor getting stuck aswell. Could it be the PCB or the capacitor, or is it something else ? (I can't go back to where it was bought - they've closed down).

Could be either but generally the capacitor. You can check the capacitor with a multi-meter that can measure farads.

Thanks for that. I believe my brother in law has a multi-meter. Will get him to check it out and let you know. Thanks.

It was the capacitor after all. Less than 29 euro to replace it. Thanks.

It can be the seals are going or the axel on the pump is bent. My best would be the seals. Just order a new set and fit them
