Wow, just watched the gadget show clip, that's some piece of kit, some price as well, basically a computer on wheels. Any maintenance/repairs would be costly but then if you can afford the bike you can afford the upkeep.

Costs a bomb, weighs almost 10kg, not race legal and it looks ridiculous.

You could easily buy a much better bike plus a similar array of data collection equipment from a well established bike manufacturer for significantly less money and it would be lighter and more practical.

The only thing amazing about the factor bike and it's aston martin cousin is the price-tag.

Well 9.5kg actually (at least that's the figure I heard for the aston martin version, which is the more expensive one). Still too much though, my motobecane weighs approximately 9.5kg and it was approximately 388 times cheaper than the factor and I don't have to poop out a capsule full of electronics to ride it.
