Former/Current Phantom Presenters on Nova in the Future

Could you think of alternative rock licencee Phantom presenters (past or present) that might be a fit for classic rock licencee Radio Nova?

This thought was partly prompted by the fact that Fiona Scally, a former presenter and briefly PD for Phantom, is now with Radio Nova - mainly behind the scenes at the moment.

I certainly could see a few possibilities. Richie McCormack is very partial towards Bruce Springsteen and Thin Lizzy and I'm sure I have heard him play quite a few more mainstream rock acts too. There is definitely potential there.

John Caddell is a walking encyclopaedia of music. He has a very wide taste in rock music. He is a big fan of Bob Dylan and, like Richie, has played quite a few well-known rock acts. John is also a fan of The Band. One of John's programs is "Powerhouse", which is specifically a showcase for classic rock. The only problem is that he has made it clear that he does not like Bon Jovi. He would need to have a nighttime program on Nova, where he would have more free rein.

Steve Conway is a former presenter with Phantom and would have a pretty catholic taste in rock music. He started in pirate radio in the U.K. with a small rock station and then spent a lot of time with offshore pirate Radio Caroline, where he would have played quite a variety of music. Steve Conway wanted to be a newsreader and that is what he did initially on Caroline. He was head of news on Phantom during its temporary licence runs. So, if his presenting options are limited on Nova, he could read the news!

Jack Hyland is another presenter who clearly has an interest in various kinds of rock music. Jack appears to be particularly partial towards the Beatles. He could easily do a few gig guides on Nova, something he has done for a while now on Phantom.

Jenny Houston, soon to depart 2FM, is a one-time deejay on Phantom from its pirate days. She would have a taste for modern rock.

    Any more?
