Feeding two TVs from one sky box using HDMI spillter

Hey,

I want to feed two tvs from one sky box via the hdmi connection on the sky box.. thing is there is only one hdmi port on the sky box.

Can you get a splitter that will allow two tvs to be fed from the box?

I imagine most hdmi splitters are designed to feed two devices into one tv/hdmi port???

So im looking to do the opposite...

Yeah, I am using a HDMI splitter similar to that as I have the SkyHD in the sitting room extended to another room. I have the HDMI splitter and HDMI over CAT5 balun running it to the other room them, works great and no loss of picture quality.

CAT5 balun.. whats that?

Basically you can feed your HDMI signal into a balun and it sends the signal down the CAT5 cable where the second balun turns it back into a HDMI cable.

I am using one in conjunction with a HDMI splitter so I can watch Sky+ HD in two separate rooms in high-def without no loss of quality.

At the momoment my 2nd tv is linked via rf2 output and a magic eye via sat cable, thinking of "pulling" a hdmi cable to replace the sat cable (straight wall and timber frame, the sat cable was fitted inside the plaster board after house was built)
If I use a hdmi splitter is there an option to get a magic eye working at the remote (2nd) tv?

Yeah with my Cat5 system thre is no actual remote control system on it and I just use the Magic eye via the RF cable but watch the picture in HD via the HDMI to Cat5 cable system. It works great, same thing as if the Sky box was next to the tv. Pulling a HDMI cable is obviously easier if your TV is on the opposite side of the wall, my 2nd tv is 50ft -60ft away at the opposite end of the house.

Yes, simply leave the coaxial cable and "eye" exactly as they are and add the HDMI cable. (You can disconnect the "eye" from the TV set, if you don't need the RF signal.)
