    All I can tell you is that when you get a full fill which is 60 litres, you can expect to get 850 kilometers. The generally accepted MPG is about 38. There a great engine. Straight foward, Cheap parts, easy to service and no pampering like the Hdi engines with the turbos. I hear these 1.6 Hdi engines are giving a lot of trouble.

    I service my own van. Don't trust the mechanics. They never take the sump nut off anymore. Oil is sucked out by vacum now but still leaves a cup of oil in the system. This is one of the problems why turbo's in the hdi's engines are giving trouble, Not all the old oil is taken out . Second problem is most mechanics carry a 200 litre drum of a certain oil and just use that oil regardless of the specified oil for the particular car. Those 1.6 hdi engines with the turbo's and diesel particulate filters must have a LOW SAPS oil put in which is even more expensive than the regular 5w30 fully syn oil,
