often wondered, when you dose for fluke or worms and such, some products say "last for 2-3 weeks". .

well, i was thinking what happens the 4th week. .

if i dose for red water, and the bayticol is only for 3-4 weeks, what happens then, . . . sher ya cant keep dosing to prevent x or y breaking out on an animal, . .. . .cost + its probably not got for the animal

dont worry, i dose me animals. . .

but . . you know, friday evening . . and thinking over drive. . ;)

In the case of worms etc its a bit of both from my opinion... Animals build up numbers in their system and the dose will help eliminate them and remain in the system to keep re-infection levels down for a period of time...
At the 4th week I presume the numbers can start to build again if they are being exposed...
Animals also build a certain level of immunity as they grow and age..

    Just my uneducated opinion...

And the solution to the Friday evening "thinking in overdrive" problem is BEER !

Very true!. And when ingested in copious quantities, it's equally effective both as a cure and preventative for a wide and disparate array of conditions, including but not limited to adult and immature fluke and worms, hoose, mange, sucking lice and warbles.
Eight or ten stiffies on top of the beer, ensures minimum 12 months protection against the dreaded rumen fluke!
