    Hello,

Got a classical guitarist hired and we're looking to get him to play a few songs, a few classics during the ceremony.

Was trying to think of what would sound good on one acoustic guitar?

    Oh well yeah.

    I mean stairway's a given.

I play the first 4 seconds of that song so well it's actually indistinguishable from the album.

You couldn't tell where Jimmy ends and I begin.

Dunno if its your bag (might not be just classic enough yet) but Nothing Else Matters or the Unforgiven by Metallica were pretty much made for knowing acoustic versions.

A friend of mine had Nothing Else Matters as her first dance song. INXS - Never Tear Us Apart?

It has to be Bohemian Rhapsody on one acoustic, it's kinda like the Amish version of Speedway, but it's memorable at least........:pac:

Gonna throw this out there. Sounds cool and unless you really know the song you'll never guess this without the lyrics.

Should call the tables 1, 2, 3, 4 and houses of the holy.

I still think Wish You Were Here would be good.........especially if Mrs Doc - to -be is more than fashionably late

    Anyway, this............

I got approval for 1 2 3 4 but not houses of the holy.

Think this Eric Clapton song is a little gem.

Freebird complete with a 20 minute long solo, perfect for during communion. ;)

Closer to the Heart by Rush also lends itself to a decent acoustic verison.

Had Uncle****er from SouthPark played at our wedding. Fun Watching the elderly relatives looking confused. Also managed to sneek in Lacuna Coil and a bit of Metallica

Got a really good classical guitarist and he got going to california in as well as stairway.

The whole drinks reception afterward he played classical versions of classic rock songs. But I didn't get to hear any of them goddammit because I was out getting photos taken!

There's only one reply to that:

    Congratulations, Doctor & Mrs Bollocko

It's gotta be wonderwall, then followed by stairway to heaven..

Seriously though, if he played this for her, she'd never leave ya.. ;)
