Driving through Dublin 1965

    this was posted recently in the Dublin City historic pics & videos thread by ziggy23 - its a 10 minute clip of Dublin Bus training run through the streets of Dublin in 1965.

    It's interesting to see the stock on the roads back then, a lot more bicycles, very few traffic lights (compared to today) and quite a bit of the city has changed since then of course..

    Jeez, there are as much people and cyclists on the roads as there are traffic and not much of them even looks any way while crossing:(.

    Excellent find there............i'd swear thats the same delivery boy on Dame St and then on Pearse St...........

    Is it me or were there much more shops on Dame St, D'olier St and Pearse St back then.....

    Remember Monsell Mitchells vividly.....father was a big diy'er...like most fathers back then had to be.....
