black fly swarms

since then, i've talked to at least three different people who had a similar experience; no sign of where the flies were coming from, and the infestation disappeared as quickly as it arrived.

does anyone know what flies these might have been?

Probably cluster flies, Do you have velux windows? they commonly get in there.

We moved into an old house and there are a lot of these flies in the house, could be the time of year but thought Id ask in case its more serious
