Advice needed-Thinking of changing my clubs !

    Hi,

I'm a 15 h'capper and bought a new(to me) set of clubs there about 2 years ago, they are Titleist DCI's. They are a lovely club and all but I think they may be a bit light for me. I hit the ball a mile although not always straight and I'm just wondering whether I might be better off going for a club with a bit more weight in it ? I'm relatively new to the game(only playing 3 years) but getting quite good at it , would go around in about +10 most days I play . Will this make any difference to my game if I do go for the heavier club or it it all in my head ? Any little thing that would shave a shot off here and there would be great.

Also, can you advise on which might be the best make/type club for me ? Not interested in spending a fortune but if I sold on my DCI's which I would get at least €100 for so would be willing to spend about €250 or a little more on a new set.

Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you are on a budget there are a couple of things you could do.
I would you go for a basic coustom fit somewhere like the Grange in Kinsealy they have lots of clubs to try find out what shaft you need and then as long as you are standard loft and lie you will have awide choice out there. Costs 30 quid for a fitting.
Golfbidder.co.uk have a big selection of clubs and always a lot of stuff on adverts.
If you do not fancy the custon fit then Halpenny have loads of exdemo 6 irons for sale go thru them all and buy the 1 or 2 that feel right to you take it out on the course see how it goes and then but a full set.
