I don't know if this is the right forum but here goes...

I have a 3G wireless router for use with my USB modem but unfortunately it got damaged beyond repair so am now in the market for a new one. I was looking at one called TP link TL-MR 3040 , which is battery powered so a bit more flexible than a plugin device. Has anyone ever used this and if so any comments? In particular , the blurb says nothing about having to set up an APN but presumably this would be necessary?

    Thanks

Ah...just noticed that there is a separate thread for this kind of query. Apologies:o

I recently bought a Dovado Tiny having tried out 5 different router/modem combinations in the last few years.
the Tiny is a superb piece of kit. I've plugged a 3mobile Huawei e122 modem into it and the whole setup has been rock solid for three weeks now, a new record. It has most of the bells and whistles you'd get in a bigger router (bar bridging - which I don't need).

I must echo the previous posters comments. wasted my time on cheaper routers before finally getting the tiny and could not be happier with it. have had no issues with it at all. Its brilliant and takes a lot of the pain out of having such crappy broadband midband

I have an old Dovado UMR which I bought about four years ago, works great. Might upgrade to Tiny in the future as UMR won't be upgraded anymore.
