If I play 3 rounds in Scotland and get my handicap that way, does this still stand in Ireland and how do I register it with GUI?

I'm a member of a club in Ireland but its not as easy as I thought to get three rounds in with a member on it. I can get rounds in in Scotland easier, so as I have a GUI number, can I get my handicap in Scotland and then use it in Ireland?

Play 3 rounds yourself. Be honest and get a GUI member to sign it Somebody in your pro shop might even sign it. Thats how i got mine.

Just be honest there is no point getting a handicap to good/bad for your ability.

haha i read it alright. Funny stuff!!
When i joined my club i could only ever get to play in the evenings as i was busy most weekends and its very hard to get out with friends then as most people have different things on. My handicap is what it is i started on 18 and didnt break 100 until about 2 months after getting my handicap this year.

I am sure if he asks his pro he can help him out. Thats all i was trying to say.

How do u have a GUI number but no handicap? Cards/numbers are usually given after assigning a handicap.

I thought that too mate, but on joining the club I told them I needed a GUI to be able to book rounds online. Guy said they'd get back to me and 2 days later they contacted me with a GUI which I now use whenever I need to book online. Still don't have a handicap though
