Has anyone else come across this ?

For the last couple of days Radio 1 has disappeared off my internet radio

I have two different radios (Roberts/Pure) in two different towns and it's gone/'not available' on both

    Any thoughts ?

Both I and my brother in London, have same problem. He emailed RTE and got the response below and he has also emailed Pure as despite the response from RTE, the problem is persisting :

Please note that last week we started
the process of rationalisingour legacy streaming formats (discontinuing the Real and
WMA formats) in aphased manner. We completed the first stage last week by pointing
our new mp3via icecast streams at all the major streaming directories. We have
alsopointed our droid apps at the new formats. In about a month’s time we willstart
publicly saying that we no longer support RA and WMA, based on feedbackobviously from
the icecast streams, which all seem to resolve very well andquickly on all the now
live streaming platforms. The process of offering the new streams for public
consumptiontakes time to percolate out to all the smaller proprietary listings and
devicedirectories and is ongoing. The list of streams that we are now offering to
thepublic listings directories are as follows if you wish to use any of themstraight
away. However all the major directories have now updated theirlistings.
    ·        Reciva ·        The Pure Lounge ·       Â
Frontier Silicon ·        Vtuner ·        Orange Telecom  Here
is the list of streams containing the links that alldevices should resolve now anyway.

I too have experienced problems getting RTE Radio 1 over the last week or so. It comes on for a second and then reverts to what I think is RTE Radio 2. Internet Radio is not as straight forward as I assumed it would be when I purchased my Roberts radio last year. I have had problems with wireless coverage, with the signal dropping on and off and then going altogether. After some advice from Eircom and Roberts Customer Support the problem was helped to some degree but coverage is patchy even within short range of the modem but adequate at the moment.

I must say RTE Radio 1 tonight is very good with Alf Mc Carthy, all the hits from 1975.
