    Hi All,

    Sorry another thread this morning.

Someone here in work has a 1.9 TDI Passat, Red i if that makes any differance.

While driving into work she had the heating totally off but the car was giving out really hot heat, she said the car was rosting and its not a warm morning by any means.

I checked the coolant and the temperature gague and all seemed ok?

Would this be a common problem with Passats?

Any help appreciated, kinda looking to see if its serious or not?

    Thanks,
    Gary

It is possible that the motorised flaps have stuck or failed in the open position giving the same effect as switching on hetaer. Its only a possibilty as i am not overly familiar. Any sounds of motor trying to close flap coming from centre of dash may be a clue.
