Wild Mushrooms!

    Hi, I found some wild mushrooms in a pine forest near my house today. im just wondering if anyone would know what type of mushrooms these are <mod snip>. Any information would be of great help. Thanks :D

    Asking for ID is fine but not about being edible. With respect to all contributors, the info given here cannot be relied upon to be 100%. Identifying plants/animals from photos has numerous pitfalls.

    The first pictures look like species of Russula. Some can be poisonous, and you need a lot more information to make a positive ID, including the brittleness of the flesh and gills, the structure of the stem, the colour of the spores, the way the cap peels, and sometimes the smell. The colour of the cap is one of the least reliable features, so you don't want to use that to guess at the ID from a picture.
    There are few mushroom species that are instantly identifiable - these are not so not worth collecting.
