Hi, I'm just looking for some recommendations for hotels in Venice. Going there for a few days in October. Looking for a nice hotel, reasonably priced and not too far from the main sights in Venice. Any other help would be great too. Thanks.

You could look on both FR and EI websites for hotel offers as they both offer them and travelrepublic is a good site for hotels.

Define reasonably priced. How many stars?

Hey, we are thinking 3 stars because I know Venice is meant to be fairly expensive.

I was just in Venice about 2 months ago.
Stayed at the Hotel Carlton On The Grand Canal, which was very nice.
Hotels.com and all the rest of the sites quoted over €200 a night for a double room. We phoned the hotel direct and got the room for €105 a night.

Make sure you phone. Dont rely on booking web sites.
