RTE have made available as a podcast an interesting and informative documentary from 1974 on the Limerick Soviet. What I found most interesting was the valuable comment from participants and their relatives on their role at the time.

The documentary does contain some inaccuracies, primarily from Jim Kemmy's flawed analysis of the evidence (in reality his lack of sufficient research) - but this does not detract from the benefit to those interested in this period. It is part of a growing body of historiography that is emerging on the real influence and impact of the labour movement during this period of Irish history.
