lawn preparation and sowing

    Hi
I sprayed the area to become a lawn a month ago and also a couple
of weeks ago to kill off stubborn weeds. I,ve got a big hill of topsoil from
where I dug up driveway which I intend dumping on the low lying places.
Just on getting it ready then would I be ok to dig it up with a 15 tonne track machine. level it off as much as possible and maybe get a rotavator after this?
I've loads of room so a rotavator powered by tractor could be used?
Then I was thinking of leaving it for a few weeks to let some new weeds peep up? spray this then. should I leave it a while (few weeks) before the final levelling tilling and sowing? Only thing is We are in to October? Ok if weather is good.
The site and ground are both very good.

Would like to hear back on any advice suggestions etc? Am I going about it the right way?

    Cheers.
