Electives error?

Hello, I'll get right to it. I'm doing science in UCD and there's a core/option module called PHYC10070 "Foundations of Physics". This is only a core/option for people who are looking to a degree in neuroscience or physiology who haven't done physics for the leaving cert. I am not interested in either of these disciplines, but I am interested in taking up physics, ie. PHYC10070 seeing as I didn't get to do physics for the leaving cert.

The problem is when I picked PHYC10070 as my first semester elective, my credit statement reads that I'm registered for 55 credits under the STAGE 1 CORE/OPT segment with 0 credits registered for electives, thus rendering my registration is incomplete seeing as I need 10 elective credits. (My second semester elective is provisional, but take it I have 5 already. The 5 credits from PHYC10070 is missing.) This means that although I chose PHYC10070 as an elective, it is being attributed to my core/options credits instead of the 10 elective credits I should be registered for.

Does this mean that simply because neuroscience and physiology are 2 of many degrees included in science BBB, no one in BBB can choose to do an introductory physics course as an elective? It seems that way to me, and that's what I'm wondering here. Hoping for some insightful advice, I would really prefer to do this physics course as my elective. I know this is confusing, but If anyone has any insight please share! Thank you

PHYC10070 is being considered as an In Program elective. I'm assuming that it has been added to your calendar.
As it is an In Program elective, you get a place since there is one.
You have one elective left, which won't be confirmed until the 8th.

So long as you have 60 Credits (55 and your pending elective) you are fine.

I've no idea what BBB is, but anyone could take physics, even me and I do arts.
There are no restrictions but there are incompatibilities.

In that case is it normal for the credits summary to say "Incomplete 55 credits" if your semester 2 elective is provisional? Thanks by the way

If you do Science, and choose an "in-house" elective, (as in, a science module as an elective), then it shows up on that particular screen as being under "Core/Opt", even if you had taken it as one of your electives, and not as a core or option.
As in, normally you would have 50 Core/Option credits, and 10 Elective credits - but now you simply have 55/5.

The only reason your Registration may be incomplete is because of the Provisional status of your other elective. That sorts itself out after the first or second week or so.

    EDIT: Too late! Never mind.

That's it! Thanks to both of you!
