Hi I recently changed jobs and my old employer took a while to send out my P45 and then when I did get it, it took my new employers wage office another three weeks to give me a refund through my wages.

But...they only refunded my paye tax, I have no idea how to claim back emergency usc or prsi, does anyone know?

    Thanks

I am replying to my own post, just in case anyone ever has the same question.

Employers refund PAYE and USC emergency tax through wages - my employer just never did the USC refund until I questioned it!

As for the emergency PRSI refund, I have to wait until I get my P60 from this employer and then apply to the social welfare office for a refund.

Just thought I would post this info in case anyone had the same questions.:)

PAYE and USC refunds should generate and issue once your employer recieves the P2C details from Revenue

I have noticed in the past while ( I work in payroll) that Revenue do not always include USC details on the P2C which delays refund of USC

As regards PRSI - there is no Emergency rate of PRSI. You are probably on Class A1 PRSI (unless you have exemptions) so no refund due there. See SW 14 for details on PRSI class
