Just wondering if anyone here uses a mixed set of irons such as the titleist or Taylormade MB/MC set. Usually made up something along the lines of 4-6 irons in cavity back and 7-pw in muscle back/blade.

If yes any feedback on how they've gone for you?

I'll give odds of 1/10 that you start another thread before the day is out.

Who made you the boss around here?

Is there now a limit on topics here? Are new topics not making the boards interesting and active.

You're leaving yourself down with ignorant comments like that.

    Big Drive,
Could you set up a separate gambling thread for this please :D

Recently made the switch from Callaway Big Bertha 2008 irons to Titleist cb 704 and am loving the feel of them.

I've just bought a 2nd hand set of Titleist 735CMs - first round last week and initial impressions are good - 4-7 semi cavity and 8-W are blade/MB

Will be a while before I decide if they'll knock the MP-33s out of the bag for good though

Yes had a mixed set Cavity 4i-7i, 8i-PW MB. I'm not a good enough striker to play the MB's. Had to change. So many pros not even using blades now. But a happy medium between the GI and blades are the pressed cavities which still look great and have way more forgiveness.

I must say; the Nike VR Pro Combo irons appeal to me a huge amount. I picked a few up in the Pro Shop the other day and they look absolutely fantastic. If I take the plunge or get to hit a few I'll be sure to let you know. Also interested in hearing more from anyone who has them.

Played these clubs for a few years - loved em!! I think one of titleist's best sets ever, IMHO

Changed to titleist 710CB(3-6)/MB(7-P) mix - I've always thought it works well for me, prefer the control and workability of blades in mid to short irons but happy to have that little bit of extra forgiveness in the long
