    Hey guys - please be kind i'm a newb on this front...

    I have GFCH in the house and need to replace the timer switch that is used to operate the heating.

    At the moment I cant operate the heat & hot water independently, just all on or all off... can someone point me in the right direction on what panel I should be looking at and is it possible to operate the heat & water separately?

    this is similar to the switch I have at the moment ;

    should I be looking to buy one of these http://www.screwfix.com/c/heating-plumbing/programmers/cat831446 or these http://www.screwfix.com/c/heating-plumbing/time-switches/cat831448

    again - go easy please. TIA

    Something like a Horstmann C27
    27....2 is for 2 channel (one heating, one hot water)
    7 means 7 day programmer (you can set for different times for every day of the week)

    So you think my system might have the ability to handle a 2 channel system?

    Sorry, misread you thread, no, if the original time didn't do it, the new one won't either, you have to have motorvalves in conjunction with them to provide this.
