Just to break off from another post. What kinda life expectancy do you expect from a pair of wellies .

I get the feeling lads expect to buy one pair of wellies in a life time .

Wellies being made of rubber perish the same as car tires , wear and tear is a big factor . Depending on use

I've my 20euro pair of dunlops 2 seasons and ive worn them every time i've been out hunting from September to February in all sorts of conditions all day long/night and never had any discomfort in them.
If they fall apart in the morning I'd have my monies worth gotten from them but i reckon they'll last another long while yet unless i rip them on barbed wire.

    Flip a coin!

I find it depends more on myself than wear. I have had cheap wellies that lasted for years and expensive ones that lasted the day when I caught them on barbed wire.

In general, the wellies usually die because of something I did.

I have mine 4yrs & the only reason I'm retiring them very shortly is because the sole is worn to the limit, if I kept wearing them they would be like slicks my christmas.

I'll defo buy the same ones again though. The old man bought a pair of the same type the other day and they are super value for money.

I never get more than two years out of them between thorns and barbed wire. I never buy wellies that cost more than €50 then every year that passess the value is better. Dunlops are ace but don't knock Lidl wellies I have them now 2 years.

+1 on that, nothing like the bicycle tyre repair kit for small rips and holes in wellies.
