Wondering if anyone has any information on this. I contacted the ocal social welfare office but they couldn't give me a straight answer so they are calling me back.

If a couple move in together and one is getting the back to education allowance and the other is getting the back to work enterprise allowance, is it likely one of their payment will get cut?

Does it have any relevance, is the BTEA not means tested?

You should be ok till the holidays when the jsa kicks back in,you will have to notify the dept of the change in your circumstances.I think but I am not 100% sure.

AFAIK you are correct. Once partner comes off btea and jsa kicks in then means and max pay will apply and afaik when partner resumes btea they will revert to previous payment amount whilst on btea.

Well to be honest, I will probably going away (back home) for work during the summer anyway, so that part wouldn't be relevant.

So to clarify neither of us would be cut in your opinion?
