Iphone 3gs

Hi all,
i'm thinking about getting a 3gs and me iphone 4 was stolen recently.
If the 3gs has all up to date firmware, will the phone have mostly the same features as i did on the 4, ie) imessage, etc?

Yes, has most the same features
The camera has no flash& it's not as good quality.
The screens not as good and the processor is slower and quite noticeably slower on ios5, some users are reporting its unusable on ios5

I would really only be using it for texting, phone calls and the odd bit of internet usage. I'm not on facebook or anything like that.

I have both on 5.1.1
The main difference to me is that the camera isn't as good and it's a bit slower once you're used to ip4.
