I recieved an offer for Sky today in the post €12.50 a month for 12 months, there is a 12 month contract, which if I cancel it in 12 months will I then be able to recieve RTE's BBC'S ect through the sky box even though my subscription is cancelled.

You wont get the "home channels" then but you will get BBC and if you buy a freeview card you will get ITV and channel 5 etc.

You would be liable for the remainder of the 12 month contract should you cancel and in addition you would not get RTE as it is not free to air on a sky box as it is a UK product.

Sorry to hijack the thread but further to the above, would you be able to switch between your skybox and regular telly? ie. after twelve months cancelling the contract wherein you'll still be able to get the FTA UK channels, then you would also get the Irish channels for free once your telly is Saorview enabled?

Yes. As long as you can receive Saorview (via aerial), you will be able to get both for free.

Was this a specific offer to your household or a general offer, if possible could you put up the details as it does seem like a good offer.
