my feet look old (this is gross): HELP!

I'm 32 and recently realised I have developed old lady feet. Years of high heels (although in fairness not THAT high) and running have taken their toll: I have wonky bent toes, a fungal nail infection that will NOT go away no matter what I do, no baby toe-nails and the skin on my feet is all veiny and sometimes purpleish.
    Gross!
Now I have done the pedicure thing: exfoliation and nail polish can take away hard skin and conceal horrible toe-nails but it can do very little for the veins or the bent toes.
The rest of me is almost perfect but my feet are literally hideous.
    Can I do anything?
I'm far too broke to see a chiropodist and my GP gave me a lotion for the fungal nail infection that hasn't worked after 2 years using it. He said they're impossible to cure.
Do I just have to live with this?

I've heard loads of conflicting stuff about fungal nail infections, so maybe some are just easier to get rid of than others. However, I have an infection in one of my toes and got strong meds from my GP for it. He did tell me that lotions are a bit rubbish (I wasn't keen on taking the meds if a lotion was gonna do the job). At the mo I'm only halfway through the course but the toe is looking better and I'm seeing new, clean nail growth coming through for the first time in ages. I'm not giving medical advice or anything, everyone's ailments are different. Just suggesting that a second opinion might give you a different treatment, and letting you know that there are other treatments out there.

I've seen these things advertised too:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/New-DELUXE-PAMPERED-TOES-THERAPY/dp/B002BX2L7Y

I've no idea f they're good or not (they're from JML so can be found in lots of places).

Hope something works out for you :)

These are meant to be excellent, I have never tried them though.

Not sure if they're for the problems you have, but might be worth looking into.

Most places I've seen them in they are priced at E19.95, so pretty expensive, but could be worth the price.

Re: the fungal thing... My mum had a similar issue and she went to get GP who took nail clippings and sent them off for testing. Apparently there's a million different types of infections you can get in your toe and often they are not actually fungal!
Also those tablets that you can get are incredibly strong and are really to be Aiken with caution, they're so strong you're supposed to have regular GP visits as they can affect your kidneys!

One of my big toes has fungus and I use tea tree oil on it. It's been almost a year and I've definitely noticed it growing out since I've started using it (almost gone now). I don't know about pills or ointments because I've never looked into them but I'm really happy that since I've been using tea tree oil, I can see it fading away, albeit slowly. I do paint my toes still but between polishes I just put some of the oil on a cotton ball and let it soak in my toe nail for a bit, and swipe it on all my toes actually. Plus, I don't think it's very expensive!

I used yoffee clear for toenail fungus that has tea tree oil and argan oil. It cleaned my nails in around 2 months.

I bought it at beautysolutions dot io and from amazon.

Tea tree oil is the only thing that ever made a difference to my fungal toenail infection! I'd tried OTC stuff and prescription stuff, but nothing worked.

Tea tree oil dabbed on with cotton wool really dried it out and you could see the colour of the nail go back to normal. Make sure you use a decent bit of the oil and kinda pull back the skin to let it run under the nail as much as possible.

Those gel toe stretcher things someone posted are great too- I'm paranoid about bunions so I stick those on for an hour in the evenings and wiggle my toes about to work the muscles!

I second tea tree oil and Vicks is brilliant for it. I file down the top of the nail and then put Vicks on. If I get in to a good routine I see a huge difference in a week or two. My problem is I stop so it never fully goes. It seems to have prevented it from spreading.

Yes, Yoffee Clear did for me similar, however, it took me a bit more than 2 months to get my normal nails back.

I must have spent hundreds over the course of two years trying to clear an infection with creams and meds. I then discovered apple cider vinegar and it cleared it up in a matter of weeks. Just put some on a cotton ball and left it soak into the nail. Did this every other night and could see a huge difference within days.

When you say file down the nail do you mean buff off the surface of the nail?? I think I have this as I have started to notice some discoloration:(
