Baggage Allowance with Ryanair

Quick Question I am praying someone can answer ... On the Ryanair website under baggage allowance it clearly states "Infants have no on board baggage allowance" Thats pretty clear but what Im just not too clear on is their definition of infant - Is it up to 2 years of age?
Ive been told that once your child has to have their own seat on board then they can bring their own on board baggage - is this right?

Travelling with them on Sat and just dont want to get to the airport and be wrong!!!!!:(:eek:

    Thanks !!!

Have you booked a seat for the infant?

I'd imagine that's covered then, i.e. can bring a bag as he's paying for the seat.
It would be infants that don't require a seat that can't bring a bag.
