Our electricity bill every 2 months is between €1,000 and €1,200, we are milking 70 cows and a work shop for machinery maintance. How does this compare to similar setup's ?

is there much point worrying about it as it a cost 90% outside your control. Be as energy efficient as possible and you can do little else without spending major bucks

    God that's serious money.

We're not in dairy. House and farm come in at an average of Eur130 every 2 months. It can be as low as Eur 80 per 2 months in the summer.

With airtricity now as well, house is about 130-170 every two months. If you're dairying night rate is a must and an ice bank tank is a big advantage.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Mine is Pretty low due to a new bulk tank( cools in 15 minutes)and gravity flow water and drinking from streams for the cows mainly. The newer milking machines guzzle elect also
