Work in accounts in a hotel??

    Hi everyone :)

    Just wondering is there anyone there who has worked in the accounts office of a hotel? I think I might be offered a job in one as the interview went very well, but I have only previously worked in firms/companies, and my main question is do accounts staff in hotels work normal office hours?
    And do accounts offices in hotels close for a Christmas break?

    I work in a hotel and our accounts person was rostered Monday - Friday 9-5. However some nights she didn't get out of the office untill 8/9 that evening. If there was a stock take or anything else she had to come in on Sunday or Saturday also. With regards Xmas she did take that week off. I know most hotels would run a skeleton staff or close over Xmas period ( close 3pm Christmas eve & open 3 pm boxing day)
