Buying a used car - what do I need?

    Hi Folks,

    Apologies if this has been asked previously, it is probably a stupid question anyway!

    I am going to buy a used car for the first time this afternoon (my previous car was inherited through the family as such). My question is, do I need to bring anything with me to buy a used car - I left my driving licence in a rental car abroad last week and am waiting for the replacement, so I was just wondering if I needed that to show the dealer?

    Any input appreciated.
