Horizons Question

I'm an incoming first year for UCD Computer Science and I have so far taken the appropriate measures to register for the coming academic year.

I am aware this might be a really stupid question, but how do we know what elective modules we can choose for the coming year? Obviously some modules can be incompatible to certain courses so I'm not looking for a definite list, but a list of some sort would be great help!

I just find it hard to believe we'll be faced with a list of modules soon and forced to decide on the spot, I need some time to think about it!

Maybe I'm being stupid and missed something obvious, which I probably have, but I'd be very thankful if someone could help me out in any way possible :)

You can pick any module from any course, as long as it's not clashing with anything in your timetable. When you see the electives menu, make sure to tick the All box rather than In-Programme. Whatever ones are incompatible or clashing will have a little red hexagon with a cross in it.

you can look for whatever modules you like here. http://www.ucd.ie/students/course_search.htm

Oh dear god! Too much choice. I don't know how I'll pick anything! Thanks though :)

Can you pick in programme electives too?Is this necessary or will the lectures be the very same as the ones I'm doing as part of my course.

You can pick electives from vetinary if you want. Is your choice. The idea of electives is so you can do something that interests you that might not be part of your course, but if it so happens that the elective you want to do is in your course, in this case vet, then you can pick if if you want. But you also have the option of picking from another course (Arts, Business, Computers etc) if that's what you want to do
