    Hi

I noticed a damp patch in my bedroom and when I looked up at the roof I noticed that the ridge tile seems to have been displaced, its there just farther down the roof than it should be . Anyone any idea how I re- attach this tile.

    Thanks,

    Regards,

I would say in most cases a bit of sand & cement will do. If your ridge tiles are black or red you may wan't to add a dye to the cement mix.

I'd recommed getting some Flexim and rebedding the tile. Flexim isn't rigid like mortar so it doesnt crack and fall out.
If that one tile is loose the others are probably loose as well.

I've a small canopy roof over a bay window on a garage extension where the 3 ridge tiles have come away from the tiles they were sitting on, they seem to have slipped forward about 3 inches, so a similar problem to the OP

Is the Flexim the best way to re-attach this or would a bit of sand & cement under the tiles do the job?

Personally I'd use Flexim, no worries with it cracking through expansion like cement.

What about where the filler came out from under tiles on a gable end?
I was just about to patch it with sand and cement.

    Hole is about a 30cm by 3cm.

Do I need to use this stuff? Where can I buy it?

Builders providers sell it in blocks.

OK, just googled what it is, don't think it's what I need this time but thanks for the reply.

Thanks for the advice over the weekend guys, went to the builders providers for Flexim to patch up my loose tiles but they didn't have it and the guy recommended Roof 7 (a tec 7 product), was like tar when it came out but dried quickly and after a few minutes holding it together it's held the weight in place, so done the job (so far so good anyway!)
