    Hi All,

Just a quick one, how far is Macdonagh train station from Kilkenny town? Is it walking distance?

    Many thanks

Yeah it's walking distance but if you've a number of bags might be a bit of a slog. reckon it'd be 15-20 min walk to town centre.

Are you staying in a hotel down there might be closer, loads of taxis around either way

Never heard of that one :) great city you'll have a bit of craic. Taxi trip will be 5 mins surprised if it cost more than a tenner

Its actually very close. If your going to john street (lots of bars and restaurants there), its about a 2 minute walk, literally down the road from train station, not far at all. Rest of the town is just over the bridge, about another 5 minute max walk.

You gotta love that Irish 2 mins. You'd be lucky to be out of the train station in 2 mins :)

The train station is very close to John street as said, you are pretty much there once you get out of the station, 2 mins is about right.

The Brog maker is on the castlecomer road. About 10-15 mins walk from the station.
