Sheep prices

    Was in Tullow mart yesterday, Texel society sale on hogget rams 450 to 670 most of them around 550 some nice sheep, good to see breeders are putting length into them again.
    Also a clearance sale of around 500 pedigree lleyn ewes, 3 1/2 yo average 150, 2 1/2 yo average 155, first 2 pins of hoggets 170, went home then , brisk trade while i was there ,a lot of the ewes were smallish and not in great condition but good demand all the same .

    was talking to a lad that was there yesterday too,said ram prices were savage,he also said a lad was having a clearence sale,i gave 160 for a bunch of 12 mainly sufock/texel hoggets 1 1/2 yo about 6 wks ago

    was in tullow today at the sheep breeders sale and hoggets were making up to 190 euro. general run of good hoggets made 175 +. poorer hoggets were down as far as 140

    Selling ram lambs also but did not wait to see them sold, enquired after about one i liked the look of, he made 450
