Channel 4 will broadcast the Games with over 150 hours of live television coverage on Channel 4 and More4, along with 3 supplemental channels of coverage to be carried by Sky (in both standard and high definition) and on Channel 4's website. Channel 4's coverage is expected to be the most extensive coverage of the Paralympics ever aired in the United Kingdom.[61][62] Radio coverage will be provided by the BBC on its radio channels BBC Radio 5 Live and 5 Live Sports Extra.[63]
Ireland: Setanta Ireland, Irish digital subscription channel, providing it on a Free-to-view basis. Highlights on RTÉ Two, state broadcaster.

Posting this in case others might not have been aware of the Setanta coverage, as I was until tonight.

Are the extra channels going to be FTA or Sky only?

Fta, certainly. They are Channel 4 after all.
Sky carried the Olympics for the BBC fta a couple of weeks ago.

Yes FTA and the Setanta one is FTV .... you need at least a Setanta FTV (or as they call it FTA) card to view it apparently.

... but maybe they will make it FTA .....

I must say that I'm pleasantly surprised to see these channels on the Irish EPG both HD and SD versions. I didn't think they would be on it due to Irish rights restrictions.

Just in case they get removed the SD versions can be manually tuned in on 11.469H 27.5 2/3

    Freesat

    Chan 150 - C4 Para 1 - 12304 H
    Chan 151 - C4 Para 2 - 10921 H
    Chan 152 - C4 Para 3 - 10921 H

Added to Freesat today - no epg data at the moment.
    Thanks to AV Forums

They'll be kept on the EPG. http://www.sky.com/helpcentre/tv/your-tv-channels-extras/olympics/
Republic of Ireland customers will have the same access to the extra three channels as UK customers, as Channel 4 has non-exclusive rights to broadcast the Paralympic Games in the Republic of Ireland.

Is anybody able to set anything to record on the channels on Sky? Get the recording not available message on the 3 HD and SD channels for any event. Same if I try to set a manual recording too. Also same on both the HD and SD boxes in the house.
