Corrupt exif data

    Had this happen recently on a Canon 1d mk2 ,shooting jpeg and all exif data from files corrupted ,is there anything in camera I can do or is it a software issue..any help appreciated

    could be any number of things from a spec of dust to internal components.

    were you able to view the images on the back of the camera ? if so, its more than likely a spec of dust inside the card(the little pin holes)

    if not, then the card may need to be formatted and then do a recovery using image recovery software.

    Has the card ever been dropped (could possibly have shock/impact damage)
