I am scheduled to fly a few hours after the half marathon next month.
Anyone know of any risks involved re clots etc.
I plan to finish the race at 12pm and flight is at 4.30pm.
Planning an cold bath when I get home from race to ease the stiffness in the legs but anyone else any advice?>?

As people here have no idea of your medical history etc and this sounds like medical advise if you are worried then you should talk to your GP.

Im not worried and its not medical advise i am looking for, its knowledge from people who might have done same thing themselves as in fly after a race and had any problems.

I've never had any issues flying out after marathons, halfs, or 10 mile races. If you're concerned, get yourself a pair of compression socks.

+1 for compression socks. I ran a marathon a couple of years ago, returned home by plane that night and then had to work through the night on some urgent stuff at home. Feet got little elevation/rest and became quite swollen for a few days - how not to do things. So compression socks and elevation and rest to avoid problems.
