It's up to you, I certainly wouldn't lose any sleep over it!

You were going to buy an ultra portable netbook, but got a large laptop. Depends what you wanted. Once is super small and light, which isn't so powerful and the other is much larger and heavier and more powerful.

    I'd probably keep it tbh!

I'd keep it. If it breaks under warranty though you wouldn't be able to bring it back.
Make sure to do the lotto tomorrow !!!! Lucky fecker.

In my experience Argos do this a lot, OP. If they don't have a particular product available, they'll substitute a higher spec product for it. TBH sometimes I think they do this just to get rid of surplus stock.
Anyway, I wouldn't worry about it OP. Enjoy or return it, whichever suits you.

I had this too - they gave me a much more expensive hoover than one I bought - I kept it.
The laptop they gave you is quite different to the netbook you wanted though. If it suits you, keep it!

yep thats true and i did want the netbook for oversea travel where the laptop would be a bit awkward and heavy.

ah well will decide before tommorow what to do.

Father once bought a toaster in there. He thought the box was a little bit big but just thought it was full of foam packaging or something. Opened the box to find four smaller boxes inside, each containing a toaster.:D

Someone in the stockroom was obviously half asleep that day.

did you pay cash?? if not they might be able to trace it when they realise (if they do that is) also if you have any problems with it you would have to show receipt and could lead to problems.

sell it online , buy another netbook and still have some profit :D

Ya was thinking about that because i did pay with a card but the receipt they gave me was for the cheaper netbook so they can't really take the difference out my card without my say so.

Our honesty went the same way as your appalling punctuation. I'd love their to be an auto-moderation facility that would prevent a user from posting a load of words without any punctuation.

Yeah a similar thing happened in Argos to my friend with bike lights!
All of us in the office got lights for their bike for free that day :pac:

Plenty of punctuation, but it's still all wrong. You did ask for it!

Anyway, I'd bring it back if it was me. Or ring them in a month and say it was a present that you bought early for someone and you've just found out what it was. They won't want it back, and you can be happy in the knowledge that you tried!
