I bought a 8gb micro sd card for my HTC wildfire s phone and it doesn't seem to recognise it.

I tried taking out the card, turning my phone off and taking out the battery. Then putting the card and battery back in and switching it on. That didn't help.

Does anyone know how to get it to work?

    Thanks

Hi Captain Morgan, I got the card in the Meteor shop on Henry Street. It's only the card the other part that goes into the computer didn't come with it.

When I try to format the card it says 'External media in unknown state'
