Where can I source an oak beam to go over a stove, similar to a mantlepiece? No idea where to find one!

I got a walnut wide string from www.thetimberyard.ie for thick shelving I wanted to put up. The grain worked well and they were on offer.
Picked it up in Clondalkin. Abbey woods or DH may have something as well.

I'm fairly sure the largest oak abbey woods currently has is 3". You may be better off trying a sawmill, you would be able to get heavier beams and they would pobably be green so you would get the cracks and shakes in the right places on it. coillte are doing reasonable deals on native at the moment.
